Rafael Leoz
(Madrid, 1921-1976)
An architect and tireless researcher, Leoz left an exciting and inspiring humanistic and artistic legacy that transcended the world of design and art.
Praised by Le Corbusier, who defined him as a genius, he created the ‘Módulo Hele’ in 1961 as part of a harmonious systematisation of architecture towards industrialisation.
His eagerness to address the issue of social housing led him to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
